Easy, inexpensive ways to boost your pets mealtime

Hey there pet parents,

If you’re seeking some easy ways to boost your dog or cats bowl without breaking the bank then read on! If you’re anything like us then you want your cat or dog(s) to live the longest, healthiest life possible! Let’s dive in!

💦Hydration, Hydration, Hydration💧

Keeping our pets hydrated is critical to their over all health. Our pets require 70% hydration in their diets, while most dry foods contain 10% moisture. This is especially important for cats who have a low thirst drive and rely on their diet for moisture.

By adding bone broth to the bowl you’ll be getting the most bang for your buck. Bone broth is not only hydrating but has a ton of benefits.

🦴Supports bones and joints

🦴Skin and coat health

🦴Helps detox the liver

🦴Promotes a healthy gut

🦴Excellent nutrition for sick pets (think chicken soup)

You can purchase bone broth or make it at home. Whichever you choose, just make sure there’s no onion or salt.

Other ways to add hydration:

🥛Raw goat milk

🥫Wet Food

🥩Raw Food

🥒Moisture rich fruit and veggies

Fresh Food

Did you know that you can safely replace 10% of your pets meal with fresh food?

Each food has it’s own variety of nutrients to offer. We recommend rotating fresh foods or adding fresh foods that you find are most beneficial for your specific pets needs.

A few of our favorites:

🥚Pasture raised eggs

🥦Broccoli

🫐Blueberries

🫀Organ meats

🐟Sardines (fresh or canned in water)

When adding foods, be sure to remove some of their daily meal to prevent weight gain (unless weight gain is the goal).

There are tons of fresh foods that we can share with our pets. Always do your research or feel free to reach out to us any time!

🐟 Omega-3s: The Pet’s Secret Superfood! 🐟

Omega-3 fatty acids aren’t just for humans; they’re a game-changer for your pets too! These healthy fats offer a slew of benefits:

Help reduce inflammation

Most of our pets food is too high in Omega-6 fats which can lead to:

Allergies

Arthritis

IBD
Heart Disease

Diabetes

Liver Disease

Kidney Disease

Cancer

By feeding foods high in omega-3’s we can balance the omega-6 fatty acids.

Supports the immune system

Helps with cognitive function

Supports heart health

Skin and coat health

Joint support

So how to we get more omega-3’s?

Fish oil

Green Lipped Mussels

Krill Oil

Whole oily fish (ex: sardines)

Remember, friends, mealtime isn’t just about filling tummies; it’s an opportunity to create healthier pets. So, go ahead, add some pizzazz to their plates, a touch of omega-3 magic, and watch the excitement in their eyes.

Do you have any questions about what you should or can add to your pet’`s bowl? We’d love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have.

Until next time, may your pet’s mealtime be filled with health and happiness!
